You remember the big moments. The new job. The last first date. The trip that actually left the group chat. But the little choices add up, too.

THE RECEIPT turns those choices into an itemized account of your life. A few questions go in. A paper trail comes out. Keep it, share it, or quietly admit it has a point.

A little accountability. Mostly entertainment.

Your answers select observations from a curated writing system. Numbers you provide stay your numbers. Other amounts, statuses and fees are playful commentary, not measured facts, diagnoses or financial advice.

Your receipt. Your call.

No account is needed inside the app. We use an anonymous session cookie to create receipts and measure whether the experience works. Draft answers stay temporarily in this browser so you can go back and edit. Raw questionnaire answers are processed to create your receipt and are not stored in our database.

Your generated receipt is stored privately. Choosing “Share my receipt” makes its name and line items accessible by its unique link, subject to the site’s access settings. Use a nickname and leave out anything you would not want to share. Free-text stories are never copied verbatim onto the receipt.

We record product actions such as completion, downloads and share attempts without recording your answers in analytics. Shared links contain a referral identifier so we can understand how people find THE RECEIPT.

Managing your paper trail

Open My receipts in the same browser to find your saved receipts. You can turn link sharing off or permanently delete a receipt and its stored preview image. Sharing it again reactivates the same link. Copies already downloaded or cached by another app cannot be recalled.

Saved receipts remain until you delete them. Drafts are cleared when generation succeeds. Clearing your browser’s session cookie removes your access to saved receipt controls, so manage or delete your receipts before clearing site data.

What is available today

Six receipt types, personalized results, PNG downloads and receipt links. Premium designs, payments and animated video exports are planned and are not currently sold.
